CITY OF RAINBOW CITY, ALABAMA – PLANNING COMMISSION – JANUARY 18, 2005

The Planning Commission of the City of Rainbow City, Alabama met in a special called session at 4:00 P.M. and upon roll call the following members were present:

John D. Watson, Chairman Absent:

Terry John Calhoun, Mayor Wes Ellis

W. Bryan Stone, Council Member Wayne Walden

Thomas Moon Keith Gibson

Frances Elrod

Mona Wallace

Also Present

Wiley McLain, Building Official Laura Lloyd, City Attorney Mark Stephens, City Engineer

1. Upon roll call, Acting Chairman Watson declared a quorum was present and the following

business was transacted.

2. Chairman Watson announced a public hearing for the purpose of hearing a request for a second

modular unit for classrooms to be placed at Life Church, 4545 Rainbow Drive. Brother David

Strahan and Brother David Wimpee were present for Life Church. There was no one present in

opposition to this request. Brother Strahan said the church anticipated having a new building

within the next 24 months. Thomas Moon moved and Frances Elrod seconded the motion to

allow Life Church to have another modular unit for classroom purposes only. Motion carried.

3. This being the only item on the agenda for The Planning Commission at this time,

Thomas Moon moved to adjourn.
