CITY OF RAINBOW CITY, ALABAMA - PLANNING COMMISSION - NOVEMBER 2, 2004

The Planning Commission of the City of Rainbow City, Alabama met in a special called session at 4:00 P.M. and upon roll call the following members were present:

John D. Watson, Chairman Absent:

Terry John Calhoun, Mayor Keith Gibson

Wes Ellis W. Bryan Stone, Council Member

Frances Elrod

Thomas Moon

Mona Wallace

Wayne Walden

Also Present:

Wiley McLain, Building Official Doug Waldrup, City Engineer

Laura Lloyd, City Attorney Melvin Potter, Fire Chief

1. Upon roll call, Chairman Watson declared a quorum was present and the following

business of the special meeting was transacted.

2. A public hearing was announced for a request from Mr. & Mrs. Albert Brown to

annex 26.5 acres + - located at 4026 Steele Station Road. The request is to annex and

zone the property R-1 Single Family Residential. Wayne Walden moved and Thomas

Moon seconded the motion to recommend to the Rainbow City Council to annex and

zone this property R-1. Motion carried.

3. Julie Chadwick, representing Choice Fabricators and Pat Sherman, Architect were

present with a complete set of drawings with sprinkle plans. After discussion, Wayne

Walden moved and Wes Ellis seconded the motion to approve this third addition of

the plant. Motion carried.

4. Terry McWhorter, McWhorter Construction and Chris Brown of Quality Grinding

were present with a complete set of drawings for the addition they have planned.

Thomas Moon moved and Wes Ellis seconded the motion to approve this addition

project. Motion carried.

5. There being no other items on the agenda for the special meeting, Wayne Walden

moved to adjourn. Motion carried.
