NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE RAINBOW CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, JANUARY 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. IN THE RAINBOW CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
RAINBOW CITY MUNICIPAL BUILDING 3700 RAINBOW DRIVE.
The Rainbow City Planning Commission recommends the annexation and zoning of the following property owners:
Joyce Swindall- 1748 Steele Station Rd. PPIN 055271 & 055275 Parcels: 16-06-24-0-001-025.000
Shari Cown and Edward Swindall- 70 Applewood Lane PPIN 055272 & 055273 Parcels: 16-06-24-0-001-022.002
Tommie R. Carr- 26 Applewood Lane PPIN 055270
Parcel: 16-06-24-0-001-022.000 PPIN 055270
Tommie R. Carr & Susan E. Carr- 75 Applewood Lane PPIN 055724 Parcel: 16-06-24-0-001-024.000
These properties are located and contained within an area contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Rainbow City and does not lie within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality. The owners appeared before the Rainbow City Planning Commission on January 4, 2022 and requested to be annexed into the corporate limits of the City of Rainbow City and zoned R-1 (Single Family District). The Planning Commission approved their request.
Legals notices have been sent to all adjacent property owners (including those directly across the public right of way), as obtained by the applicant in the most recent records of the Etowah County Tax Assessor.
THE PURPOSE OF THE HEARING IS TO RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE ABOVE CHANGES TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE, MAP AND ANNEXATION.
